Important notice regarding ordering new cheque books / paying-in books

Due to the insolvency of a third-party printing supplier affecting ourselves and other financial institutions, Unity is currently unable to provide new cheque books or paying-in books for our customers.

While we work to rectify this issue, you can make single and bulk faster payments via our Online Banking service. Further guidance on how to use these services can be found on our Business Banking webpage, along with alternate payment options.

If you are not yet registered for Online Banking, you can register through our Account Management form.

If you have recently requested a cheque or paying-in book, which hasn’t arrived, please call our Customer Service team on 0345 140 1000 or for Trade Union customers, please call 0345 245 0020 and we will be happy to help you. Please be aware that calls may take a little longer than usual to be answered during this period.

For all other customers who use cheque and paying-in books but do not need new ones immediately, we will contact you directly with further instructions. Rest assured we are giving this matter our urgent attention and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

  • Unity’s Customer Service team is available between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday

Unity Trust Bank has had a proud and historic relationship with trade unions since our formation in 1984.

The trade unions’ vision was to create a bank that would embrace the philosophy of serving the common good and those founding principles are still at the heart of everything Unity does today.

Unity banks 90% of affiliated trade unions which benefit from specialist relationship managers who understand the ins and outs of how the organisations work.
