Skills 4 Communities currently delivers service contracts to help its clients with sustainable employment. They focus on employability skills, self employment and functional skills, arts and crafts to build confidence and transferrable skills. Their support helps people who are struggling to get into work. These include long-term unemployed, families facing barriers to employment or/and social prospects, BME, people in work, people made redundant or at risk, and young people.
A £60,000 loan from Unity was used to purchase a property. It will be renovated into a training hub for developing vital employability skills. The space will also include offices and a cafe to increase income for the charity.
