The Bribery Act 2010

The Bank adopts a zero tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and is committed to ensuring adequate procedures to prevent bribery are enforced within the Bank, in accordance with the Bribery Act 2010. We have comprehensive internal policies in place to cover anti-bribery, corruption and whistle blowing.

If you discover or suspect that a breach of the Bank’s policy or a criminal activity such as bribery, theft or fraud is being planned, is being committed or has occurred, you are able to report it via the Bank’s Chief Risk Officer, who can be contacted on 0345 140 1000. Our call centre opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank and public holidays in England and Wales. Calls are charged at local rate. Calls may be monitored and recorded for training, quality and security purposes.

Value Added Tax (VAT)

Due to the Bank’s continued growth and the broadening it’s service offering, the Bank now meets the threshold for VAT registration and has been VAT registered since 1 October 2021.

Most financial transactions are exempt from VAT, with the exception of:

  • Audit Letter
  • Certificate of Balance
  • Banker’s reference/status enquiry
