Theory of Change

Turn your purpose into measurable progress.

Your path to delivering change

This first module in our Impact Toolkit guides you to reflect on your goals and plans, discuss them with others and ensure everyone involved understands your strategy.

A Theory of Change is a roadmap that explains how your work leads to real social change. It helps you define what you’re trying to achieve and map the steps that connect your day-to-day activities to long-term outcomes. At Unity, we use Theory of Change to plan, measure and prove the impact of our own work, and now you can use the same approach to strengthen yours.

We’ve created a simple, practical template to help you build your own Theory of Change, defining your goals, testing your assumptions and tracking how your work improves lives and communities.
