Unity Trust Bank’s Head of Enterprise Risk, Jennie Koo, has been recognised in the prestigious Empower Executive Role Model List for the second year running. Organised by INvolve and supported by You Tube, the annual Top 100 showcases leaders who are breaking down barriers in the workplace and supporting people of colour in global businesses.

Jennie said: “I feel truly honoured to be included again in the Involve – The Inclusion People Empower Role Model Lists 2026. I’m grateful to stand alongside such inspiring individuals who continue to drive inclusion and positive change in an increasingly challenging society.”

Jennie actively promotes diversity, equity and inclusion as part of Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF), a membership network that has championed women in financial services for over 40 years. Since setting up a West Midlands branch in 2017, she helps women achieve their career ambitions through development programmes, leadership opportunities and networking events.

At Unity, Jennie has helped organise celebrations like International Women’s Day and World Culture Day, connecting colleagues at all levels with diverse perspectives. Beyond financial services, Jennie is a Non‑Executive Director at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust.

She advocates for culturally informed mental health support in the NHS and serves as a trustee for Only a Pavement Away, reinforcing her commitment to breaking barriers for underrepresented groups.
