Unity Trust Bank exists to help create a better society through ethical banking. Our Impact Reports highlight how we’ve delivered on this mission, from supporting inclusive businesses and charities to helping create jobs and strengthen communities across the UK.
Every year since 2012, we’ve shared our achievements in an annual Impact Report. Explore our journey below.
In 2025, we continued our commitment to creating real social impact while also delivering strong financial results, reaching a record £1.1bn in total lending. This funding supported more than 1,000 organisations linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, helped deliver over 2,000 sustainable homes, and created or protected more than 5,200 jobs across the UK.
In 2024, we lent over £1 billion to 714 organisations across the UK. Half of our loans went to organisations in areas of high deprivation (up from 45% in 2023). We also doubled our support for cutting carbon in social housing, putting £50 million into our new Retrofit Transition Initiative.
In 2023, we provided £263.8 million in lending to 162 socially minded organisations across the UK, supporting progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our total loan portfolio passed £1 billion, with 45% going to areas of high deprivation. Customer feedback stayed strong, with 92% saying they were satisfied or extremely satisfied with our services.
