Unity plants new partnership with Treeapp

Published: March 9, 2026

Unity has partnered with global tree-planting business, Treeapp, as part of the bank’s continued commitment to sustainability and wellbeing. Treeapp specialises in delivering responsible reforestation projects around the world. It helps support local communities, restore natural habitats and protect ecosystems.

Unity is backing two forest restoration sites in Warwickshire and Staffordshire. The projects will create new field boundaries for farmland birds and connect existing woodland through targeted planting. By the end of the project, 5,425 trees will be planted which will shape 3.62 hectares of land (or 8.93 acres).Colleagues will be taking part in activities at both sites, allowing them to get hands-on in this exciting partnership.

The partnership has been organised by Unity Green, one of four employee-led Unity & Me pillars. This group focuses on the delivery of eco-friendly initiatives and tangible green commitments.

This partnership with Treeapp is a chance for us to make a real and lasting difference in the West Midlands. By supporting reforestation and helping restore local habitats, we’re enhancing the places our communities depend on. It’s a practical step toward a healthier environment and a future we can all feel proud of.

Unity’s decision to plant locally in the Midlands reflects a genuine commitment to giving back to the communities they serve. Through woodland creation and hedgerow restoration, thousands of trees are now enhancing biodiversity, protecting landscapes and even supporting therapeutic education for young people. We’re proud to partner with businesses like Unity who recognise that environmental restoration and community impact go hand in hand.
