Castlehill Housing Association

  • Organisation Name: Castlehill Housing Association
  • Region: Scotland

Castlehill Housing Association seeks to provide good quality housing for those in greatest need. It used a loan of £1.3m from Unity to construct 18 new properties in Aberdeenshire, meeting the needs of the local community by providing additional housing. 12 properties will be occupied by social housing tenants, with the remainder used as mid-market rentals.

‘With government funding and the availability of grants under pressure in the current economic climate, many housing associations are looking for fair and cost effective banking services. Unity Trust Bank’s social values stood out. They are a great fit for us and the loan has helped balance our finances through the life of the development.’

Geoff Helme, Director of Finance & Corporate Services, Castlehill Housing Association
